Spring racing kicks into gear this weekend as Golden Rose Day at Rosehill and Underwood Stakes Day at Caulfield, serve up plenty of action for punters.   

Leading form analyst Mick Gannon has dived deep into the form to pick out his top plays for the key races accross both Sydney and Melbourne.

Rosehill Race 4 - Heritage Stakes (1100m)

This looks a race in two between Ozzmosis and Royal Tribute.

I'm happy to lean with Ozzmosis ($2.35), given he had the better of Royal Tribute last time they met and will be quite forward for his first-up tilt.

There's no value to be had at all here, but I think we’ll see a big performance from the Bjorn Baker trained galloper.

Rosehill Race 7 - Shannon Stakes (1500m)

Flying Crazy ($9.50) represents great value for the punters, coming off the sickest 4L defeat you’ll ever see.

He was slow out, before suffering interference in the straight but still closed off well.

He gets the services of young-gun Zac Lloyd, draws ideally in barrier 3 and only needs even luck to be in the finish.

His biggest opposition is Waterford, the $2.80 favourite, who he meets 2kg better at the weights and should get map advantages over the Waller trained gelding.

Looks the best each-way bet of the day!.

Rosehill Race 8 - Golden Rose (1400m)

King Colorado $7.50 looks a star on the rise.

A 35-day break with one trial since his last start in the Winx Stakes is a query, however I’m trusting this stable will have him ready to fire.

He’ll relish a high-pressure Group 1 and as long as the track is playing fairly, he can run over the top.

A few variables at play here, but happy to stick with him.

Caulfield Race 9 - The Underwood Stakes (1800m)

Alligator Blood $3.40 is the class runner of this race and is well suited under WFA conditions.

He’ll roll forward to sit on-speed in a big field and should relish a solid tempo.

I had him marked $2.40 and he looks a great bet at the price.
