Menangle Race 1 Luke John (2) $4.40
Luke John (2) looks to have factors in his favour in the first race.
The four-year-old had been performing strongly in similar grades before recording some very nice sectionals last week in a Group 2 event.
Gate #2 should allow this horse to find some cover and launch a sprint in the closing stages.
Menangle Race 2 Gliding Away (5) $8.50
Double figure odds is too hard to pass up for Gliding Away (5).
This pacer has had 16 starts in 2022 for 6 wins and 10 placings; an incredible display of consistency over a long period of time.
While this race may be his toughest test in a number of starts, the versality Gliding Away has shown during the year gives me great confidence.
Menangle Race 5 Stingray Tara (4) $4.00
I am going with Stingray Tara (4) in what is very high quality Group 3.
This son of Bettors Delight showed no signs of rustiness in his first up effort last week, only being beaten by one of the country's best horses in Expensive Ego.
There is plenty of talent engaged here but if Tara shows any improvement second-up tonight he is going to be hard to hold out.
