Best bets from leading tipsters
The action comes thick and fast around the country on Saturday. The form has been done and the team are ready to kick-start the massive day ahead.
Doomben Race 2 Tip #1 Achiever $9.00
Last campaign, this Waller trained gelding performed very well in middle distance races as a three year old.
In his last run before a spell, he finished only 1.6 lengths fourth in the Queensland Derby behind Kukuracha.
That form-line reads well. The Derby winner finished a close up second in the listed Rowley Mile last Thursday when first-up.
For this first-up assignment, Achiever tackles the 1350M trip in this Class 3 company.
This looks a winnable assignment and we are taking a nice price to find out if he is ready to go.
Luke Dittman will pilot this son of Pride Of Dubai, who likes to race on-pace.
He may not have that luxury given the wide barrier, so expect him to take a sit midfield and run on strongly towards the finish.
It will be an interesting watch to see how this bloke goes as a maturing four year old.

Caulfield race 3 Tip #7 Turaath $2.10
Imported mare who is getting better with every start.
The lightly raced 5YO toyed with her rivals at Flemington last start after sitting outside the leader in the run. When asked for an effort, she then burst clear in the straight to go on and win by 3.75 lengths.
On that occasion, she ran .27 seconds faster than Groundswell did on the same day for 1410 metres.
She rises in class but will have a fitness edge and a weight advantage over the likes of Annavisto and Lunakorn.
Jye McNeil is sure to have her positioned up front again and she's going to prove hard to catch

Kembla Grange Race 3 Tip #12 Pensato $8.00
This lightly raced mare really caught my eye with a fast finishing fourth last start at this same track.
She didn't have much luck on the day, having to steady off heels multiple times in the home straight.
When she finally got some clear air she let down strongly going past multiple more favoured runners easily.
For this weekend, she steps up to 1500m which is a distance I expect her to thrive at.
Her breeding out of Lonhro suggests the wet track should not be an issue either.
From the good draw, expect her to sit midfield with cover and if given a clear crack at them on the bend she will put in a great run at very decent odds.

Doomben Race 8 Tip #13 Wapiti $6.00
I am expecting Desert Lord to be scratched and run Friday in the featured Goldmarket at the Gold Coast.
This leaves this race wide open and Wapiti could easily start favourite for this event at Doomben.
At his last run, he finished second behind At Witz End and protested unsuccessfully for the victory.
Another few strides he beats that rival and heads into this race on the back of a strong win.
For this weekend's race he is drawn in pole position and drops to 54kg.
He will punch up and have Phantom Falcon speed across to sit outside of him.
Besides this, there doesn't look to be a lot of speed on paper so Wapiti will get a comfortable run up front.
Another tick of approval is his good second-up stats being 3:1:1:0. Hard to beat.

Goulburn Race 3 Tip #1 Ma And Pa $ TBD
This bloke went well enough on debut at Kensington, running second to Nearly Fine.
He then went to Warwick Farm and started short in the market, but was given absolutely none, stuck three wide no cover the trip.
He was quickly put out to spell, gelded and looks to have returned really well if the trials are any guide.
The unknown is the heavy track, but from the trials it looks like he can handle it fine.
