Eagle Farm Race 2 Tip #1 Kisukano $2.00
I’m forgiving this filly's second-up run, where she was expected to win over the 1200m at Doomben.
There were excuses for her in that run, given she got a bit worked up and was difficult to load into the barrier. Adding to her challenges that day, she was forced to lump 60.5 kgs on a Heavy 9 surface.
The daughter of Bel Esprit has an impeccable record, winning 4 from 6 career starts and finishing in the placings on the other two occasions.
First-up this prep, she took care of the second elect in this market Mishani Miss, defeating her by four lengths. Mishani Miss then went on to win comfortably in Saturday grade the next start, so that’s a good guide for this.
With the 3kg claim from Alex Patis, Kisukano gets in with 59kg. The apprentice rode her last start and has a competitive winning strike rate of 13% over the past 12 months.
Expect the Michael Nolan trained filly to stalk the leaders, pull out in the straight and show us her real class.

Belmont Race 5 Tip #4 Montelena $1.65
Montelena took a few runs to get going this preparation, but last start he really extended nicely over the mile to record a soft victory in the end.
He put 2 lengths on Aconite in that clash and meets that runner again here 1kg better off in the weights.
He looks to be a progressive galloper who improves as he stretches out further. In contrast, most of this lot are right on their mark here over the 1650m.
Strike Force and Boys Getaround Him will ensure there's some tempo in the race, whilst Monetelena should get a very soft run two or three pairs back behind the leaders.
He will only need to reproduce his last start effort to be winning this.

Kembla Grange Race 1 Tip #11 Absolute Legend TBA
This Les Bridge trained galloper trialled up really well in preparation for the launch of his racing career.
He then went to Gosford for his debut and sat fairly handy on a fast tempo, before being collared by Red Hot who had the softer run off the speed.
He will be fitter for the run and better for that experience.
Expect him to break his maiden status in style.

Belmont Race 8 Tip #2 Jericho Missile $5.00
This former top-line juvenile appears extremely well suited here dropping in class and with the 3kg claim from apprentice 'Lucky' Laqdar Ramoly.
He had a promising start to his career, after notching up a three victories and a number of placings in some significant two and three-year-old feature races.
He returned this preparation against the older horses and looked disappointing first-up, however there was a notable leader bias throughout the day so he was always going to be up against it.
Second-up he improved significantly when storming home from last for a gallant second, splitting open class gallopers Floyd and Essential Spice.
His effort to run the fastest last 400m of the race and fastest last 200m of the day was impressive, considering he was checked significantly when angling for a run.
Today he appears suited by the rise-up to 1200m and he draws kindly, to potentially hold a closer position in transit.
Now at this third run back, it would be no surprise to see him launch late and take out this event with his class edge coming to the fore.
