The media experts and racing journos have been relatively quiet over the past month.

It's no surprise though that the new racing season has woken them up, with a handful of them fighting their way into the top 10 for most cash profit on our weekly leaderboard.

However, as is usually the case, it was the pro punters who had the best of it.

And the pro that put in the best all-round tipping display was Bothas29.

This punter steered his followers into 16 winners at a phenomenal strike rate of 43%.

These terrific numbers resulted in a cash profit of $4,470 and a 121% POT.

However, the most impressive element of Bothas29's effort was the fact that he picked the winner in the first Group One of the Spring Carnival.

Toptipswednesday was another pro punter who tipped up a storm over the past seven days.

His 25 winners at an average price of $6.16 generated a cash profit of $3,190.

Contrary to what his name suggests, this Victorian provides tips for just about every day of the week.

Having said that, doesn't he know how to tip a good winner on Wednesday.

Last Wednesday, he gave his followers two winning tips that were around the 15/1 mark.

Onto the media experts now, and the best of this bunch was up-and-coming WA analyst Scott Embry.

The next media expert who had a corker was none other than the Persian prince Ben Asgari.

This returned a cash profit just shy of $2K for all those who backed the prince's tips with $100 bets.

Asgari is in some stellar form at the moment, having secured a profit from 5 of his previous 7 tipping days.

A final mention goes to one of our favourite media experts, David Gately.

Gator is also in some incredible form at the moment.

He backed up some good results of late with $1,690 in cash profit over the past week. 

This profit was driven by 9 winners, and like Asgari, a stellar strike rate of 50%.

It's no mean feat to tip a winner from every two selections.
