Intrepid punters find Moore winners
In a week where both punters and the racing media excelled, it was a journalist from Adelaide who was the absolute standout.
Lincoln Moore would be a familiar name to many Adelaideans. The journo and form analyst writes for The Advertiser, where he has been contributing for almost two decades. He is perhaps best known for his "The Right Track" column that he co-writes with colleague Ben Scadden, covering all the talking points in the week of racing.
But it was his tipping success that had people talking this week. Incredibly, Moore came close to tipping the card on two consecutive tipping days. First at Murray Bridge on the Wednesday (15 August), where Moore tipped 5 of the 8 winners at a POT (Profit on Turnover) of 126%. Then, on Saturday, Moore's 8 tips resulted in 6 winners at an even better POT of 141%.
Punters following Moore's tips with $100 bets would have found themselves more that two grand in the black over the last seven days, thanks to this impressive tipping display down in South Australia.
What's more impressive is that as a newspaper journalist, Moore has to submit his tips up to 72 hours before the stalls open, in order to meet editorial deadlines.
Yet this week is no flash in the pan. Moore has tipped 107 winners in the past half year, at 13% POT and no doubt there are plenty Moore winners just around the corner.
The best punter over the past 7 days, and also the person who made the most cash profit, was Intrepidarts. Like his name suggests, this punter isn't meek with his selections, instead often going for roughies which has certainly paid off for him.
Intrepidarts made more than three grand from only 9 winners, at an average winning price just shy of $8. The Sydney sider has only been tipping for just over a month, and in that time he has already found several long shots that have come home. The highlight in the past seven days was a $30 pop that saluted at Taree.
Shayne O'Cass from the Sportsman and Super Racing had a weekend to remember. Sunday in particular was a highlight, with O'Cass tipping the winner in races 2 through 7 at Moruya, just one winner away from tipping the card.
This was one hell of a hot streak, with these 6 winners in a row returning punters a huge 380% POT and a whole lot more for punters taking his quaddie.
Finally, Joel Marshal gets a mention for yet another profitable 7 days. The Best Bets tipster steered his followers into 45% POT this week, increasing his twelve months profit to be well into double figures at 13%.
All these tipsters can be found in Australia's only horse racing tips market that offers tips from racing experts in the media and professional punters.
