Hong Kong Racing Best Bets

The Hong Kong racing season reaches its finale today with a 11-racecard at Sha Tin.

It will be sunny in the afternoon in Hong Kong, with all the turf races will be held on the good ground over the “A” course.

Trainer Frankie Lor is enjoying a great season, he is now the leading trainer with 90 winners, which is 6 more than the second John Size.

Both Zac Purton and Joao Moreira have 132 victories so far, but Zac will win the championship if they tie, as 1 of Joao’s win was a dead heat.

The very last cup race for the season is the Hong Kong Racehorse Owners Association Trophy in Race 8.

This Class 1 over 1600m features Turin Redsun ridden by Zac Purton, while Money Catcher with Joao Moreira on board is a main threat.

The new season will start on 11th September.

Sha Tin Race 5 #10 Hyperion Tree

Hyperion Tree has scored a win and a 2nd after using the leading tactic recently. He'll be able to lead easily this time as there is no speed here.

Last time out this 5YO broke maiden over 2200m at Happy Valley impressively, he led all the way, but still demonstrated a great final sectional time to win by 2.5L.

He will just carry 5 pounds more and Alexis Badel keeps riding.

Moving to Sha Tin is not a problem as he already had experience of racing here, so he is likely to win back-to-back.

Sha Tin Race 6 #7 All Is Good

All Is Good is going to have his fifth start in Hong Kong today, but it is his first time jumping from gate 1.

He finished 4th at his last two runs, both from wide draws, showing he is quite strong over 1400m.

Zac Purton takes the ride again, he is expected to stay behind the leaders from the good draw.

The pace will not be fast in this race, so it will be a nice chance for All Is Good to break maiden.

Sha Tin Race 4 #8 Youthful Deal

This doesn't appear the strongest of Class 4 contests so I'll take Youthful Deal to win at only his second start.

The 3YO was drawn wide on debut and was never able to reach a challenging position.

He did show much promise and Zac Purton keeps faith with the son of Deep Field.

The selection is trained by Champion trainer elect, Frankie Lor and with Purton tied at the top of the jockeys' title, it's a winning combination.

From barrier 4 he can adopt a nice stalking position and produce a winning run.

Sha Tin Race 6 #7 All Is Good

Purton can further cement his jockey' title aspirations with another winner courtesy of All Is Good .

The Francis Lui 3YO is lightly raced, unexposed and well drawn on the paint over this 1400m.

He tackled this track and distance two back when 4th to Leather Vanguard and filled the same position last time behind Peak To Peak.

Just behind the selection in 5th came United Endeavours who gave the form a boost with a tidy win last week.

Purton rode him on debut and it's a positive to see them reunited on the final race day of the season. All Is Good to break his maiden.
