Sha Tin Race 7 #1 Luck Express $10.00
A superb race with Lucky Express taken to land the spoils for John Size.
The son of Toronado ran well to finish 2nd in the Premier Cup this month under Antoine Hamelin and they team up again.
That was over 1400m but the 5YO has good form at this trip and was a close 4th to Cordyceps Six in the Sha Tin Vase.
He can be slow from the barriers but he broke smartly in his latest barrier trial and is well drawn this time.
Nervous Witness and Master Eight are class acts on their day and look like the main rivals.
Sha Tin Race 10 #4 Sakewin $2.30
A fascinating finale and I'm backing Sakewin to send João Moreira home with a winner.
The 3YO won his first two starts over this course and distance.
He lost the unbeaten tag last start but was still very good to finish 4th behind Brilliant Way.
Rain is forecast at Sha Tin but the son of Burgundy relished the yielding conditions on his penultimate start.
Look for him to return to the winner's enclosure in style for his trainer Frankie Lor, who is closing in on the trainers' championship.
