Best plays for Monday racing at Wagga
Another week rolls by and we are met with an eight-race card meeting at Wagga to kick things off.
Big fields are a plenty throughout the day, offering up good value for punters
The track is rated a Heavy 8, with the rail out 8m from the 1400m to the winning post and 4m for the remainder of the circuit.

Wagga Race 3 Tip #1 Antonio $2.90
Garry Kirkup saddles up the four-year-old gelding by I am Invincible here, in what looks to be the easiest maiden he has seen to date.
Two starts back he ran a game second behind the very smart Front Page, before failing at Canberra and then being sent to the paddock for a spell.
He returned from a break with a quiet trial at Canberra for Michael Cahill, who stays aboard for his first-up tilt.
We know he gets through soft ground just fine and his only attempt on heavy going last June at Kembla was solid enough.
From barrier 3, we should see jump to sit nice and close to the speed.
I think he'll prove too good for this lot and is a horse worth following as he matures.
Wagga Race 8 Tip #7 Dexluther $7.00
Race 8 is the Riverina Cup prelude over the 2500m and I'm with the Hawksbury trained Dexluther.
The five-year-old gelding by Written Tycoon loves getting out to the staying trips and will relish the rise in distance here.
He's a real tough nut when it comes to his style of racing, with my only concern being his fitness given he's only second-up.
Winona Costin has a great relationship with the horse and jumping from barrier 3, expect her to sit handy to the speed.
When the race turns into a slog up the home straight, I'd rather be close the lead then at the tail of the field.
He appears to relish the whip on the right-hand side, so look for that late in the piece.
There is some obvious risk backing this galloper second-up, but at the $7.00 he's definitely worth the gamble.
