Best Bet – Race 4 #4 Soft Love $3.60

Soft Love looked every bit a talented up-and-comer when winning at Caulfield, running slick time and doing it stylishly.

She then headed to the Denise’s Joy at Scone, where she drew poorly and was caught in tight running.

Despite that, she wasn’t beaten far.

Back in class here and drawn wide for clear air, she looks well placed to bounce back and showcase her talent again.

Value Bet – Race 9 #9 Talbragar $11

Talbragar wasn’t far off in a blanket finish first-up, despite racing tight throughout.

That race rated well and has produced good form.

Importantly, he’s 2 from 3 second-up, including a solid BM78 win at Mornington last prep.

The wide draw could be a blessing here down the straight, and he’ll have no issue if the track softens.

At $11, he’s a genuine knockout hope.
