Hong Kong Racing Best Bets
Hong Kong racing returns to Sha Tin today with an 11-racecard, 2 of which will be on the all-weather track with the rest to be run on the turf “C+3” course.
It keeps raining in Hong Kong this week, so both the all-weather and turf grounds are wet and it is usually favourable for front-runners.
The feature race for the day will be Race 7 Class 2 1200m over the all-weather track, Campione is a reliable leader, while the backmarker Silver Fig loves the wet dirt very much.
The unbeaten 3YO Galaxy Witness will return in Race 8 Class 2 1600m on turf, he is seeking for his 5th consecutive victory under Joao Moreira.

Sha Tin Race 7 #3 Campione
Campione is a talented sprinter previously raced in Italy and he settled in Hong Kong quickly.
This 3YO scored 2 wins in Class 3, including one impressive victory on the all-weather surface, he overcame the wide draw and made it all easily by 1.5L.
Last time out he moved to Happy Valley, maybe he doesn’t suit the night racing at the city circuit, he didn’t lead and there are the excuses.
One more chance for him returning back to all-weather, he can lead easily from gate 2 and it is possible to see him showing the “catch me if you can” tactics once again.
Sha Tin Race 11 #9 Global Harmony
Global Harmony was named as Pagan in Victoria, he scored 1 win and 1 second from his 2 starts at Pakenham and Sandown.
After arriving in Hong Kong, this 3YO had 4 barrier trials, he is improving steadily and settling well.
In the trial on 17 May, he stayed behind the leaders and showed a good acceleration immediately when Zac Purton pushed him in the last furlong.
Making his Hong Kong debut over 1200m at Sha Tin is suitable, especially with Zac Purton on board, he is expected to hold a good position and is likely to win.

Sha Tin Race 5 #13 Amigos Giggle
A wide open race but let's take a chance with Amigos Giggle.
He is yet to score a win, but ran a career best last time over C&D.
That was on rain softened ground and with thunderstorms round Sha Tin we can expect yielding conditions again.
He recently switched to the stable of Casper Fownes and runs off a very competitive mark.
The excellent Alexis Badel rides the son of Snitzel for the first time and I expect a big run from the 11 gate.
Sha Tin Race 10 #1 Captain Win
Zac Purton can win on the topweight Captain Win for David Hall.
The Toronado gelding is 1-9 but always runs a sound race and finished 2nd three times in his last 6 runs.
Last time he made his debut on dirt when a never nearer 4th over an inadequate trip.
The return to the 1400m distance is ideal and he comes from a stable in good form.
Keefy and Escape Route look dangerous rivals, but I'm with the lightly raced 4YO to win for the second time.
