Best plays at Dubbo
Dubbo hosts Monday racing in NSW, with a tricky eight-race card giving punters plenty to ponder.
The track is currently rated a Good 4 and with mostly fine weather forecast in the lead-up, punters should expect a cracking racing surface.
The rail is in the True position, which should see an even day of racing.

From the stewards
In my opinion the most notable runner in the pre-steward's report for today's meeting is Modernity in Race 8, who is second-up after a lacklustre run at Scone.
During that run, she was outgunned for speed early and had to drift back, only to be blocked in the straight.
With the addition of Greg Ryan, a softer barrier and the step up in distance, expect her to have a much more improved run.
Jockey to follow
Of the jockeys riding today in the Northern Zone, Greg Ryan is the king of the Dubbo track.
Ryan has had 93 rides here in the past 12 months, winning 19 at a strike rate of 20%.
Ryan's best ride comes in Race 1 on Mesmer.
Dubbo Race 5 Tip #1 Cotton On George $4.00
This gelding from the Alison Smith yard has found an easy enough race here to produce another victory.
The son of Mosayter stepped back in distance to 900m last start, in what turned out to be a very speedy race.
He went with the leaders and strung the field out, before he took the inside running and proved too good for his opposition to win by 2.5 lengths.
He steps back up to 1000m from a beautiful draw, and shouldn't have to do anywhere near the work he did last start.
Mathew Cahill retains the ride and with his nearest rival in betting drawing the carpark, it will be a mighty task to run 'George' down.
I have him marked a $2.80 chance, so he looks a great play at the $4.00 odds.
