GTO punter rises to the top
It's a rare occurrence when someone listed as a punter sits at the top of the weekly leaderboard for most cash profit.
A punter who goes by the alias of tino15 managed to do just that last week, showing up the professionals and media experts in the process.
He had a cracking week, finding 18 winners at a meaty average price of $9.71.
These winners came from several different tracks, including Bathurst, Port Macquarie, Pakenham and Sha Tin.
It takes talent to be able to tip winners no matter the track, and tino15 obviously has it in spades.
These winners combined to produce a cash profit just shy of $6K from $100 win bets.
What an effort.
Incredibly, another punter also filled out the second spot on the leaderboard, with $4,360 in cash profit.

That was Claresy1977, who also had success in Pakenham and Bathurst.
Despite finding fewer winners than tino15, this punter notched up an ultra-impressive 121% POT.
Claresey1977 is definitely one to keep your eye on.
Breaking the trend, it was a pro punter who secured the bronze medal for most profit in the past seven days.
This was none other than thedott, a popular pro who has regularly featured in this article.
A resident of sunny Cairns, the warmer weather must do thedott good, especially at this time of year when the southern cities shiver through winter racing.
Thedott showed Melbourne and Perth locals up, finding good winners at Belmont and Sandown on Saturday.
Thedott had 9 winners in all, at a stunning average price of $10.43.
This meant $3,490 in profit for all those who followed thedott's tips with $100 bets.
As a result of him sitting on a 30-day 14% POT, there was a sizeable group of punters following..

But now it's the media tipsters' time to shine.
Leading the way was SKY Racing race caller Darren McAullay.
McAullay has one of the most recognisable voices in WA, and it was here that he had success.
His winners came from Belmont and Pinjarra races, demonstrating the understanding McAullay has of his local racing scene in WA.
But more impressive was the fact that his 12 winners came at a phenomenal strike rate of 48%.
You rarely see strike rates much better than that.
Finally, one of the racing media's most respected figures cracked his way into the top 10 for most profit.
It was none other than Daily Telegraph racing editor and tipster, Ray Thomas.
Thomas tipped 12 winners at an impressive strike rate of 36%, generating a cash profit of $1,770.
However, with plenty of his best bets saluting, Thomas's profit surges to $2K when the leaderboard is adjusted to actual stake.

Thomas has also now tipped 4 profitable days in a row.
