Horse Racing Longshots for Hawkesbury
Race 2 #14 Callistemon $11.00
It took a while for this 3YO filly to put it all together on raceday but she is airborne this preparation.
Two strong provincial wins followed up by a luckless last start effort at Kembla Grange when jumping from barrier 11.
She had really good late splits from the rear of the field and is much better suited here from barrier 8.
Jess Del Frari retains the ride here and gets her down to the minimum weight.
She has shown a liking to rain affected tracks and looks suited stepping up to 1500m fourth up.
She will get a nice sit off a hot tempo and be able to let rip down the centre of the track.
Race 9 #12 Amur $20.00
This 3YO gelding can bounce back hard here in NSW.
He sat too close to a fast speed in the CS Hayes at Flemington and faded first up.
He was tipped out straight away and now resumes here off two solid trials.
The barrier draw of three will give him options in the run and with Zac Lloyd aboard only carries 56.5kg.
He is unknown in the wet, but being bred out of Snitzel should handle it with no issues.
A great each-way play if he produces his best.
