Scone Stakes Winners
We head to Scone for their special standalone Saturday meeting of the year, headlined by the Dark Jewel Classic and Ortensia Stakes.
The rail is out 3m from the 800m to the winning post and true for the remainder.
The surface will likely be in the Soft / Heavy range, however, Saturday is expected to have fine weather.
Keep an eye out for any fast lanes appearing from the dying surface.

Scone Race 8 #16 Le Gai Soleil $6.00
After opening $11 in All-In markets, this 5YO mare should start favourite, and for good reason.
She is a dynamic fresh mare holding a hot first-up record (5:4-0-1).
Her best figures come when fresh and over the 1400m which she gets Saturday.
As for trials, they have been super indicating she is ready to fly.
The key to Saturday and her winning, is the ability to run on.
We are expecting some rain before Saturday and with the Friday meeting at scone, the inside will see a lot of traffic and will chop out.
By Saturday, you will want to be off rails and coming down the middle/outside.
She has a lighting turn of foot and has been set for this race.

Scone Race 9 #7 Surreal Step $18.00
Enters this contest second up and ready to win.
This 5YO gelding had a sensational trial prior to his first-up run. He was dead last on the point of the turn and made up lengths to finish 3rd.
It was a similar story first up in the listed Hawkesbury Rush where jockey on the day, William Pike, settled him last.
He copped plenty of excuses, eating mud from all his rivals, and had to wait for a gap to open.
It only opened when the race was over, with 150m to go. Once he got the split he flew to grab third.
His racing pattern often does him no favours as seen with his 7 placings, but he is a genuine sprinter and tried his heart out.
This weekend he heads to Scone and gets some key factors in his favour.
I love the draw being out wide, the large field will mean he can sit three-wide with a back to follow.
He can avoid all hold-ups and ideally get to the best part of the track later in the day.
He gets Alysha Collett in the saddle who is a much more aggressive rider than W. Pike. She will have no issues making any early moves should he run into bother.
Finally, whilst he doesn't mind a bottomless track, if the track stays in the Soft 7 / Heavy 8 range, he will thrive.
Looks unbelievable value and I will be playing this on a 1 x 3 system.
