It was a cracking week on the punt for both the pros and the media experts, who dominated the top ten spots on the leaderboard for Profit on Turnover (POT).

As good as both brigades fared, nobody was getting close to Mattina, who put in one of the tipping performances of 2021 so far.

The pro punter from Victoria's Gippsland region is one of the best tipsters to follow for any overseas racing.

This week he showed exactly why, after bagging 3 winners in the UK, including Thomas Kershaw at Uttoxeter.

The rank outsider saluted at a staggering price of $157.60.

One to make your eyes water

Not surprisingly, Mattina clocked off with an outrageous 540% POT.

It doesn't get much better than that.

The next pro punter to show his class was ThePuss, after his tips drove a fat 234% POT.

This New South Welshman owed his success to a good blend of consistency and value.

His 3 winners greeted the judge at a strike rate of 33% and a bumper average price of $10.

Given he's now boasting a 141% POT from 32 tips over the past 30 days, ThePuss looks like a punter to keep tabs on.

Onto the media experts now, and tipsters from SEN and Best Bets were well represented this week.

Starting with SEN, and faring best was racing journalist Hugh Fitzpatrick. 

He nabbed 6 of his 12 selections at a hefty average price of $5.08, driving a 154% POT.

On top of that, Fitzpatrick saw 3 of his best bets salute, including $7.50 shot Instant Celebrity in the Robert Sangster Stakes.

Terrific tipping.

The other SEN journo/tipster to make his mark was Cody Lane. 

Just like Fitzpatrick, he nailed 6 of his 12 tips, at an average price of $4.60.

Lane's winners were evenly split between Hawkesbury and Cranbourne, generating a whopping 130% POT for his followers.

The SEN stable is airborne.

The other media outlet to prove they can steer punters into plenty of winners was Best Bets.

And leading the way thanks to a big 110% POT was Tim Guille.  

The country Victorian racing expert was all over Saturday's Horsham card, bagging 4 winners from just 6 tips.

They got up at a handy average price of $3.15, it what was a highly-polished display of tipping from Guille.

Best Bets' leading Brisbane analyst Chris Nelson also had a week to remember. 

He jagged 8 winners at a strike rate of 40% and an average price of $5.21, to drive a 109% POT.

Five of these winners Nelson made a Best Bet, and if you factor in a double stake for these top picks, Nelson's POT surges up to 130%.

If that wasn't enough, then the Brisbane expert is now showing a three day profit streak at Eagle Farm. 

With the Brisbane Winter Carnival almost upon us, Nelson's tips are looking like a smart play for punters hoping to end up in front.

Harness and Greyhound tipsters of the week

Kicking off with the trotters, and pro punter Mick Berta is building an impressive tipping streak.

The Victorian has ended up in the black four days on the bounce.

Looking at his weekly stats, and Berta finished on top of the leaderboard after his tips drove a 97% POT.

This was down to accuracy, with Berta's 4 winners saluting at a 67% strike rate.

Punters will be interested to see if he can keep this streak rolling.

Onto the dogs and it was Queensland punter Wildash who had the best of it.

He landed 3 of his 9 selections at a meaty average price of $5.23, generating a 74% POT.

But it's Wildash's extended form that's sure to get punters talking.

He's not only showing $3,630 in cash profit from his greyhound tips over the past 180 days, but he's also boasting a four month profit streak.
