Ballarat Race 7 #6 Daily Bugle $6.00
Big drop in grade here for this 4yo Press Statement Gelding.
Has good winning claims in this after a huge run last start in a BM80 at Moonee Valley, running on from the back to finish 5th behind 'Yulong Patrol'.
There has already been two subsequent winners from that race (two horses who finished back in the field) and there will likely be still one or two more to come.
Previously, this 4yo Gelding had some strong form lines with runs behind the likes of 'So You See' at Flemington and 'Here To Shock', 'Munhamek' and 'Savannah Cloud' at Sandown.
Will appreciate the drying track and while he will need a bit of luck from the back, Ballarat is a track that gives backmarkers a good chance to run on when the rail is out 5m.

Kembla Grange Race 2 #2 Fightertown $7.00
This 2YO colt has been getting too far back in his runs and while he has run home well, he hasn’t been able to bridge the margins.
He has a sharp turn of foot and being out of Snitzel should love the cut out of the ground today.
Jmac hops back on after riding him two starts back and this gives further confidence he is travelling well.
Won a recent trial and looks primed for a big run.
Hopefully from barrier 6 can land in a more forward position and be storming home late.

Toowoomba Race 3 #5 Ravaged Award $2.25
This Mark Currie Toowoomba trained mare has won 2 of her 3 starts at her home track and looks like a huge chance to add to that good record.
She won well first up, over the unsuitable 1000m sprint and then followed that up with a second at Ipswich where she was desperately unlucky.
With the claim for leading apprentice Angela Jones, she looks well in at the weights, getting her down to 56 kilos.
It wouldn't surprise, if Jones takes up the running from the low draw, and third up over at the mare's pet trip (1300m), she can make amends here.
