The Ginger Wiz went bang at Pakenham last week with another two winners.
He is now on a 2-week winning streak and looking to continue his hot form.
The rail goes out 3m from the winning post to the 400m mark and is True in the home straight.
A light tailwind is expected in the home straight and a potential upgrade to a Good 4 looks likely.
The track should race evenly as it has done for the last 15-night meetings.
Pakenham Race 3 #2 Big Girl Helga $16/$3.30
Big Girl Helga has jumped out very well in preparation for her first-up assignment.
Based off her recent Pakenham trial, it appears that she has made good natural progression after a spell and developed into a nice filly.
She’s always been a filly who looks like she would get over a trip so kicking her off at 1400m looks ideal.
The cross-over nose band goes on first time and this will help her settle throughout the run.
I expect her to get a good run from midfield and she looks well suited on her home track.
At the current price, she looks a great 1x3 each-way play.
Pakenham Race 8 #13 Manasa $8.50/$2.80
Manasa will be looking to keep her unbeaten record at Pakenham intact as she comes into this second-up.
The Per Incanto mare began awkwardly and got too far back first-up but the most impressive part of the run was how she attacked the line.
She ran up behind a wall of horses and was unlucky not to finish closer behind eventual winner, Red Hot Nicc.
She looks like a big track horse so Pakenham will be right up her wheelhouse.
She’s drawn barrier one tonight which isn’t the worst thing. At her last few starts she has been beginning well but been forced to drift back in the field due to wide draws.
Newitt will have her closer to the speed and they could get off the fence seeing it’s the last race. This will give her every chance
The current price makes her a great each-way play tonight.
