Best Bets from the Wiz
The GingerWiz is flying.
He is going for his 4th week in a row where both best bets have saluted.
For tonight the rail is in the 9m position from the 1600m-1000m and 10m out the remainder.
They all got off the fence the last time the rail was in this position so I’d expect they will be doing the same tonight.
Pakenham Race 5 #1 Visinari $2.50
Visinari joins the Price/Kent stable after coming down from Sam Kavanagh.
His three jump-outs for his new stable have been simply impressive. He’s won all three of them and did them with ease.
The grey gelding resumes over 1400m in a BM64 and gets the 4kg claim with apprentice Matt Cartwright taking the ride.
His only two Australian starts have been in much harder grade than this. Blinkers come off for his first-up assignment and he looks perfectly drawn from the gate.
He raced on-pace in his jump-outs so if he finds the lead tonight, they will have a task to catch him.
Flash Feeling is racing well and is the only danger, but Visinari will be very hard to beat and happy to take the current price.
Pakenham Race 3 #7 Let Fly $3.00
I think that the favourite is a risk first-up, so happy to oppose with Let Fly.
She comes into this third-up after two good runs at Kyneton over 1100m.
The Pakenham circuit will suit her much better and in-form hoop Jordan Childs jumps in the saddle.
From barrier five, I expect her to get a great run-in-transit.
Happy to back the filly who has fitness on her side rather than the one resuming.
