He's no mug!
Randwick hosts day two of The Championships on Saturday, with another 10 race card for punters to feast on.
The highlights of the day are the four Group 1's; the Australian Oaks, Sydney Cup, Queen Elizabeth Stakes and the Queen of the Turf.
Those features are backed up by three Group 2's and of course, the Provincial Championships Final.
It looks set to be another cracking day of racing.
Track Assessment
For the latest insight into how the Randwick track is expected to play, read our preview of the Australian Oaks & Sydney Cup here.
Randwick Race 8 - Queen Elizabeth Stakes 2000m (G1)
The Map
With Samadoubt coming out of this race, there are question marks over where the speed is going to come from.
I am expecting Addeybb (3) to take up a forward position, though there is a good chance he could be headed by Think It Over (5) and even Dalasan (7) from the outside alley.
Look for Mugatoo (1) to kick up from the inside and take a nice midfield position, with Verry Elleegant (4) sitting on his outside.
Sir Dragonet (2) and Mo'unga (6) will round up the field.
The Favourite
Verry Elleegant ($2.40) is a deserved favourite in her target race of the Autumn.
She was strong in the Chipping Norton Stakes before showing why she is one Australia's best gallopers, handling a similar field with ease in the Ranvet Stakes.
The daughter of Zed loves the 2000m as much as she loves racing at Randwick. I expect the punters to flock to her late.
Analysis and Tips
Mugatoo ($7.50) is over the odds for a horse of his quality.
He has been screaming out for 2000m and I thought the Doncaster was merely a throw at the stumps due to the scheduling of races.
He comes back to WFA which suits him down to the ground and he also maps to get a brilliant run with the favourite.
The dry track will not worry him and neither will the quick back-up, so expect him to be a thorn in the side of the favourite runners.
Randwick Race 9 - Group 1 Queen of the Turf 1600m
The Map
The speed in this race looks fair with Vangelic (2) and Greysful Glamour (11) set to head forward along with Odeum (4) and Nimalee (9), who will likely park right behind these two leaders.
Missybeel (5) and Probabeel (6) look set to get nice runs providing that Quantum Mechanic (3) doesn't kick up from the nice draw.
Colette (12) will settle a touch worse than midfield from the wide gate, as will All Saints Eve (13) who will drop back with Rich Hips (10) from their awkward draws.
That leaves Nettoyer (7) and Starelle (8) to tail the field.
The Favourite
Probabeel ($2.50) has wound up the favourite after a forgetful All Star Mile.
She was crowded early in the race and it was stated that she didn't handle the track conditions, though I think being that far back on a wet Moonee Valley track also hurt her chances.
She has had a month off with a trial in between and will look cherry-ripe for this contest.
She is drawn perfectly and jockey Kerrin McEvoy will no doubt be watching his inside to see what happens with Quantum Mechanic and Missybeel, before making his move to settle.
She races well over a mile and a dry Randwick track only enhances her chances.
Analysis and Tips
Probabeel ($2.50) is my pick for the races for the reasons above.
I will also be specking Vanna Girl ($17.00) for a place. She returned well in Queensland over an unsuitable distance and should be ready to go over the mile.
I think she will get enough speed in front to flash late.
