Monster profit for pro punter
Horse racing tipster of the week
Both the punters and media experts were in the money this week, with both groups well represented at the top end of the leaderboard.
Best horse racing tipsters this week
It was the pro punters who had the best of it however, led by Asiandaveblue1951.
This Perth-based pro has been one of the best sources of WA tips for a while now.
This week he showed exactly why, after bagging 2 of his 5 selections at Pinjarra, at a mouth-watering average price of $16.40.
Punters who followed his tips with even stake were tucking into a ridiculous 556% Profit on Turnover (POT).
Asiandaveblue1951 is listed as a pro for good reason, with weekly results like this starting to become a regular event.
In fact, the Sandgroper is one of the site's best performers over the past 90 days, with his tips generating $6,270 in cash profit from $100 win bets. Not bad at all.
Impressive 90 day tipping stats
The next pro punter to make a splash was New South Welshman Thepuss.
The south coast resident was all over Saturday's Randwick card, jagging 3 winners including $16 pop Explosive Jack who took out the Australian Derby.
Thepuss jags plenty on day 1 of The Championships
Along with a winner at Cranbourne on Friday night, Thepuss's 4 winning tips saluted at a strike rate of 44% and an average price of $6.40.
This superb combo of accuracy and value led to a bumper 184% POT.
His tips are sure to be popular in the coming weeks.
Onto the media brigade now, and best of the bunch was Nadia Horne from RSN Racing.
The South Australian radio presenter and form expert cleaned up at Morphettville on Saturday.
She found 3 winners at a huge average price of $7.90, one of which was her best bet River Twain.
Factor in a double stake for this best bet, and Horne steered her followers into an enormous 181% POT.
Her fans will be hoping she can repeat the dose this Saturday.
A couple of Queenslanders from SKY Racing had a week to remember, led by Townsville's Tony Wode.
The race caller showed why he's the first port of call for any Townsville tips, after a sensational effort on Thursday.
Wode bagged 4 of the 8 winners, including best bet Higher Realm and $10 shot Pantone who took out the last.
Another 3 of his selections also ran into a place, so Wode was certainly seeing them well.
This standout performance drove a 136% POT for Wode's fans, taking his 90-day POT to 34% in the process.
Tony Wode is flying
Michael Maxworthy was the other SKY tipster from the Sunshine State to make waves.
The presenter and form analyst jagged 8 winners at a juicy average price of $4.96 to go along with a superb strike rate of 44%.
These ripping numbers generated a fat 121% POT, or $2,170 in cash profit for everyone who followed Maxworthy's tips with $100 bets.
But that doesn't tell the whole story.
That's because Maxworthy had success with his best bets, landing 3 of the 4 he dished up for punters.
Apply a double stake to these best bets, and Maxworthy's profit figures surge up to a 140% POT or $3,070 in cash profit.
Incredible tipping.
Harness and Greyhound tipsters of the week
Kicking off with the trots, and proving once again that he's a bona fide freak when it comes to harness tipping was Thomas Hudson.
The pro punter and resident harness expert is showing stats that are off the chart.
This week, he bagged 5 winners from just 6 tips at an average price of $3.16. This was enough to generate a table-topping 163% POT.
Taken in isolation, punters might be wondering what's so special about this performance.
But it's the fact that Hudson has been doing this for not just weeks, but months.
He's currently boasting a nine-month tipping streak at all tracks, as well as an all-time cash profit just shy of $15k.
It doesn't get much better than that.
A tipping streak to make your eyes water
Moving onto the dogs and it was pro punter BettyTipton who booted away at the top of the leaderboard.
The West Australian tipped with the ideal mix of accuracy and value.
Her 9 winners greeted the judge at a strike rate of 47% as well as an average price of $7.56.
This drove a whopping 258% POT, or no less than $4,900 in cash profit for punters who followed BettyTipton's tips with $100 bets.
Definitely a punter to keep tabs on.
