Race 3 #4 Skyhook $4.00

Skyhook was a certainty beaten in the Skyline Stakes when chopped out at the 300m, yet still flashed home to go down by a nose to Rivellino.

With an uninterrupted run, he wins that race comfortably.

Drawn in barrier 5, he maps to land on speed in a race full of horses being aimed at the Sires' Produce Stakes, making him the standout runner for a Slipper-bound campaign.

With even luck in running, expect Skyhook to take control early and prove too strong late, securing his spot in next week’s Golden Slipper.

Race 6 #12 Declichy Boulevard $3.40

Declichy Boulevard has progressed beautifully this preparation and now arrives third-up, primed to peak.

Race 4 #6 Autumn Blonde $12.00

Autumn Blonde has had little go her way this preparation and is deserving of a breakthrough victory.

First up at Canterbury she set a blistering front running tempo and was only reeled in by Marhoona in the concluding stages.

That runner has since gone on to run second behind the Golden Slipper favourite Tempted.

At Autumn Blonde's last start she had no luck being caught three wide the trip. 

She stuck on well to finish 4th in a race dominated by swoopers.

She now is at peak fitness third up and draws well in barrier 7 to land in the top 4 in running.

With even luck in running she can be there come the finishing post.

Maurice McCarten Stakes

Race 7 #2 Insurrection $7.00

Big drop in grade here from the Oakleigh plate, when forced to work overtime on speed.

He will get a much softer lead here and will likely control the tempo with Coal Crusher up front.

With both of the top weighted runners looking to control the race, this should give him every chance to pinch a cheap sectional.

He can kick hard on the bend and be there come finish time.
