Importantly, he is proven on rain-affected ground, and from the draw, he should be able to find the front comfortably.

Notably, blinkers come off, and he has been gelded, a crucial gear change that often leads to significant improvement.

If either of those factors bring out further progression, he should prove far too good for this field.

Race 5 – Kenmare Bay $2.30

Kenmare Bay is proven on wet tracks and is perfectly suited stepping up from 1350m to 1600m.

His first-up run was outstanding, finishing a strong second at this track just 13 days ago, indicating he has returned in career-best form.

The mile suits ideally, and from a perfect draw, he can settle outside the leader and control the race.

If he runs up to his best, he will take a power of beating in what looks a very winnable assignment.
