Pakenham Race 5 #5 Versilia $2.20

Versilia was most impressive when blinkers went on over track/distance last start.

She drew barrier one on that occasion, jumped straight to the lead and couldn’t be caught.

She gets the exact same conditions tonight.

Danny O’Brien has given her three weeks since that run and looks perfectly placed to run another strong race.

Her opposition isn’t much stronger tonight, but she will need to beat Zagusto and I think she can.

She’s building a terrific record at Pakenham, and I am confident that she can continue her winning ways.

Lloyd Kennewell’s 3YO colt has had a strong jump-out after his first-up outing, which will have him in great order for this assignment.

He got too far back first-up and was even through the line.

His recent jump-out is what caught my eye, it was very good.

He looks suited stepping up to the mile, as he is 1/1 at the trip.

Gate six looks ideal for him to sit better than midfield and in-form jockey Beau Mertens will give him every possible chance.

He looks overs in the race and is worth having a bet around the $6 quote.
