Pakenham Race 1 #6 Mr Trafficanti $3.10

Ben and JD Hayes look to have a nice debutant, Mr Trafficanti.

The Turn Me Loose gelding comes to Pakenham after two sharp Flemington jump outs where he travelled strongly throughout.

He might get over further as he progresses, but this looks like a great kick-off point.

I expect him to settle midfield from his draw, and build into the race with Zahra in the saddle.

There doesn’t look a lot of depth to this race, but he appears to have plenty of natural ability.

The Lindsay Park team have done enough work with him to win on debut.

Pakenham Race 3 #8 Glint Of Hope $1.85

I expect class to come to the fore here and that’s exactly what Glint Of Hope has.

She’s a maiden resuming over 1400m, after placing twice in stakes grade during the spring at a mile and beyond.

She wasn’t far away from Daisies and Elusive Express last preparation. Her run behind Willowy in the VRC Oaks was also good.

Obviously, she will be better as her preparation progresses, but I think that this is an easy way to break her maiden.

She cruised along in a recent jump-out, but it appears she has come back in good order.

There is not a lot of depth to this maiden, and she can hit the line hard, first-up.
