It was a good week to follow the callers, with two of the most recognisable voices in racing circles delivering a handsome profit.

Kicking away at the summit of the SKY Racing tips weekly leaderboard with $2,300 in cash profit from $100 win bets was Darren McAullay.

Arguably WA racing's favourite son, McAullay's passionate and unique calling has been entertaining racing fans out west for decades.

But it was his tipping performance that really put smiles on punter's dials this week.

McAullay provided 32 tips for his followers across four meets, 15 of which got up for the win.

In other words, his winners came at an astonishing strike rate of 47%.

Now that really is an impressive effort.

Securing the silver was fellow race caller David Fowler.

The voice of Brisbane racing, Fowler found 6 winners at a handsome average price of $4.47.

This generated $980 in cash profit for all his followers who backed his tips with $100 win bets.

Rounding out the podium is Ron Dufficy, who recorded $750 in cash profit.

"The Duff" did this by bagging 3 good winners at Rosehill on Saturday, including Young Rascal in Race 2.

The international raider was having its first start in Australia, and consequently paid a juicy $8.50 on the tote.

Along with California Zimbol and Addeybb, The Duff rounded out the day with a thumping 83% POT.

The pride of Townsville, Tony Wode, once again demonstrated his intimate knowledge of the local racing scene.

Wode jagged two juicy winners at last Friday's Townsville meet.

This resulted in a bumper 106% POT, which translates into $740 if you followed all of Wode's free tips with $100 bets.

Also faring well in Queensland was Michael Maxworthy.

The New South Welshman has quickly endeared himself with the locals up north, by consistently providing high-quality tips.

He was at it again this week, finding 10 winners from just 24 selections.

This generated $710 profit from an even stake, but factor in Maxworthy's best bets and his profit surges up to $1,160 under actual stake conditions.

Demonstrating how well he's seeing them at the moment, Maxworthy has notched up 6 profitable tipping days from his last 10.

How did the big guns fare?

Of the big names in the SKY stable, it was Paul Joice who fared best.

Joice was unlucky not to register a big profit after no less than 4 of his tips placed at the Slipper meet on Saturday.

However, he did find two good winners, including the victor of the Golden Slipper itself, Farnan.

Farnan saluted at $4.90 odds, delivering co-trainer Gai Waterhouse her 7th and record-breaking Slipper win.

Brad Davidson also bagged Farnan in the Golden Slipper, in what was a good result for punters.

But unfortunately for Davidson, it was pretty slim pickings after that.

He'll be looking to bounce back with plenty of high-quality racing to come in the next few weeks.

And for the jewel of SKY Racing's crown, Tony Brassel, it was a case of close but no cigar.

Bras was very unlucky at Rosehill on Saturday, with three of his selections -- Dawn Passage, Mugatoo, and Verry Elleegant -- all finishing in second place.

He did find a couple of winners in Mornington though, so it wasn't a total wipeout if you followed Tony Brassel's tips.
