Punters prove more profitable
Recently, Australia's media tipsters and form experts have been holding their own alongside the GreatTipOff.com punters.
But this week it was all one-way traffic, as the punters dominated the standings.
The top 8 profit makers over the past 7 days were all punters.
The top few got through on a few winners where at least one of them saluted at big odds.
For newcomer Taipan23 his $6,710 cash profit from $100 win bets included Roll Again in the opening race at Down Royal in Northern Ireland saluting at the whopping odds of $88.40.
The other to pick a winner at big odds was pro punter Saturaystandouts who tipped Prometheus at the healthy odds of $22.50 in Race 6 at Flemington.
While it might appear as a lucky week for the Queensland punter, his multiple Tipster of the Month awards and PRO status tells punters that this result is typical of what he has delivered over the past five years.
Rounding out the podium for highest profit was fellow pro punter Robbospicks.
This bloke steered his followers into 14 winning tips at an average winning price of $4.71.
Considering his 50% winning strike from his tips this week, you'd take this average winning price every day of the week.
Those statistics equated to almost $4K of profit for those who followed his racing tips with $100 bets.
The best media tipster of the week was Shayne Montgomery from RSN Racing .
Montgomery is a veteran racing journo, who used all of his experience to land 8 winning tips at 88% POT.
Montgomery has been in some fine form of late. This is backed up in the stats, that show that he has recorded 4 profitable tipping days from his previous 5.
Speaking of veteran racing journalists, Ray Thomas had a week to remember.
The Telegraph tipster found no less than 29 winning horses, which generated more than a grand profit.
Most punters that follow the News racing editor would've been on his Saturday tips, and it was here that he really cleaned up.
Two of Thomas's best bets, Star Of The Seas and Red Cardinal, saluted at Rosehill.
With the five Group Ones at the Golden Slipper meet coming up this Saturday, plenty of punters will surely get all around Thomas's tips after this effort.
A final shout out goes to one of our resident tipsters Matt Buckland, who tipped with near flawless precision on Saturday.
Buckland's Saturday tips across both Flemington and Rosehill saluted at a strike rate of 55%.
Unsurprisingly, Buckland's POT was outstanding, ending up at 116%.
With one of the biggest race meets of the year coming up, Buckland is another tipster you want to keep your eye on.
