Saturday Best Bets at Rosehill & Mornington 24th March 2018

Mother nature has thrown punters a curve ball this week in Sydney and i’m looking forward to seeing how Rosehill will play. I’m expecting the track to slightly favour on-pace runners in the early races, but as it dries out it should play a lot fairer with all runners getting their chance. Mornington has been bathed in sunshine all week so i’m expecting a very fair surface there.

Rosehill

Race 8 #2 Jungle Edge

Was massive behind Redzel first-up off a 13-week spell, where he chased so hard to just go down by 1.8L on a good 4 surface. He’s much better here on softer going so expect a huge run from him with all thirteen of his wins coming on rain affected tracks. $4.20

Race 9 #3 Sugar Bella

Just keeps on winning! She’s six from seven as it stands and four from four this prep. She’s won on good and soft tracks so expecting another fast finish from her on Saturday from the same gate as her recent win at Randwick. $3.40

Mornington

Race 1 #4 Matty 

Was very good first-up behind a very sharp one in Sprightly Lass. The Lass has since come out and run a very good race franking that form, so expecting him to be right in this from the good gate and carrying 2kgs less. $2.40

Race 9 #6 Our Peaky Blinders

Is in great form with four lovely runs so far this prep. He’s fifth-up here and from a nice draw, he should sit just off the pace and could put them away in a couple of strides. Right in the mix here. $2.35
