Hot Caulfield Card
This week's Caulfield card is brimming with quality, with the feature Blue Diamond Stakes well supported by fellow Group 1 events the Futurity Stakes and Oakleigh Plate.
Punters will be forced to digest a number of different form-lines, with key interstate horses looking strong throughout the day.
I am keen on one in the Futurity who is all class and ready to secure his free pass into the All Star Mile.
Race 6 Futurity Stakes (Group 1 WFA) 1400m
Win and you're in! That's the catch cry here for horses looking for a "golden ticket" to the All Star Mile.
Expect the speed to be moderate, with the fit horse Streets Of Avalon (7) to cruise over from an outside draw and take it up. He has genuine race shape favours and if left alone, could surprise a few of the big guns.
Kolding (5) can race more forward here and I expect him to find the premier one-out and one-back position. He is dripping in class following the recent Epsom Handicap and Golden Eagle wins and must go on top.
Super Seth (4) won well here first up over 1200m, when he was very strong late. He is a major player again and will be charging from back in the field.
The gun NZ mare Melody Belle (3) has to be included. However, I'm more inclined to risk her at the short price of $2.80, given she is best in the wet and is being trained for longer range targets than this. Her condition may give out late.
Best Racing Tips
1st Kolding
2nd Super Seth
3rd Melody Belle
4th Streets Of Avalon
Race 7 Blue Diamond Stakes (Group 1 2yo SW) 1200m

Race 8 Oakleigh Plate (Group 1 Handicap) 1100m
They will burn early here, with I Am Immortal (18) and Free Of Debt (19) both to carve across the face in search of the lead.
Expect Pippie (14) to sit just in behind the speed battle. She was excellent last prep and looks to have returned well with a nice trial effort at Cranbourne. Goes on top at big odds.
Anaheed (15) was enormous here winning the Rubiton last time out, when she was backed off the map and was always in complete control. This is much harder, but she should be in the finish.
The class runner is Bivouac (7), who brings enormous three-year-old form from last preparation and would be fully wound up in an attempt to get to stud. Could just blow them all away.
Trope (6) is the smokey with different form, and he can suck up in behind the warp speed for the entire trip. Can arrive late and win.
Best Racing Tips
1st Pippie
2nd Anaheed
3rd Bivouac
4th Trope
Race 9 Peter Young Stakes (Group 2 WFA) 1800m
Very keen on Regal Power (5) here, who by all reports has returned in great order and is training the house down in WA.
He will get back from the mid-draw, however expect there to be enough tempo to allow him to run-on.
Miss Siska (7) will be keen to charge across the face to lead, and if left alone she should be kicking hard at the finish. There was an avalanche of money for her here last time and if the support is there again, I would be wary.
Kings Will Dream (1) ran well last start in the CF Orr Stakes to place 3 of 12 over the unsuitably short 1400m. The step-up to 1800m suits and he will be rattling home late.
Best of the rest is Odeon (9), who has race fitness on his side and possesses good tactical speed to take a forward position. Big odds.
Best Racing Tips
1st Regal Power
2nd Miss Siska
3rd Kings Will Dream
4th Odeon
