Best bets at Caulfield & Warwick Farm 10 Feb 2018

I’m expecting another very fair surface at Caulfield with dry weather all week, whilst at The Farm the leaders will have a small advantage due to the small track but I’m sure it’ll play pretty fair as well.

Warwick Farm 

Race 5 #14 Ballistica

Looks an absolute beauty, her two trial wins have been outstanding. Bjorn Baker has a fair wrap on this youngster and it’s easy to see why. Watch for her late. $4.60

Race 8 #4 Show a Star

Was great leading all the way for us two weeks ago. He has four wins and a second from eight starts over this trip and drops 3kgs here. A solid third-up record means he has to be respected. $2.60

Caulfield 

Race 1 #7 Downhearted 

Was very unlucky last start when he was held up at a vital time and chased hard once the gap opened. Drops 7.5kgs here and will appreciate the extra trip. Should go close. $4.50

Race 5 #1 Shoals 

Is a beauty and she’s unbeaten first-up. She’s three-from-three over the distance and has never finished worse than second in seven starts with five wins. Will be hard to get past. $3.40
