Moonee Valley Race 6 Tip #2 Gentleman Roy $2.45
He’s racing in great fashion and looks perfectly placed to return to the winner’s list.
He resumed from a 40-week spell with a decisive victory at Geelong over 1300m before winning easily at Flemington over 1400 metres defeating Savannah Cloud.
Savannah Cloud turned the tables on him at Caulfield last start over 1600m where he ran the fastest last 200m of the meeting to overhaul him.
Gentleman Roy will again go forward and won’t be meeting any galloper of the calibre of Savannah Cloud.
He will also be better off for having had a start over 1600m and will strip even fitter for this.

Moonee Valley Race 2 # Americain Angel $3.10
With the scratching of Yonce from the field, Americain Angel looks a terrific play.
She has had a terrific preparation so far and got a well-deserved win in her latest encounter.
The form out of that race has stood up since in both this grade and stronger races as well.
Jamie Kah sticks here and from the draw can land the O’Brien filly in the perfect stalking position.
I love the famous saying of backing mares in form, and this girl is flying.
She can deliver another win here.

Ascot Race 7 Tip #1 Acromantula $6.50
Acromantula heads into this race today four weeks between runs.
He flies fresh and spacing his runs seems to be a key recipe to his successful career so far.
In his two runs this prep he was nosed out by The Front Bar who has good ability and he beat This'll Testya who was a strong 72+ winner last weekend.
Acromantula is a Ascot 1000m specialist and retains regular rider Joey Azzopardi who would know the horse better than anyone.
He has drawn wide but he will stride forward quickly.
He has the natural speed to cross Kramden, but if the inside overexerts and kicks up, he can let him go on with it while he breezes along outside of him.
He is a quality horse on the rise and his class will go a long way to winning this.
