Caulfield plays host to competitive card with multiple group 3's being run. The Manfred Stakes and the Chairman's Stakes are the two features of the afternoon.

The track is currently rated a Good 4 and with fine weather predicted, particpants will be met with a perfect racing surface.

The rail is out 9m the entire circuit and at this set-up, the track will likely favour horses up on speed and on the fence.

First of the G3 features is the Chairman's Stakes for the 2yo's, and the resuming Godolphin runner Renosu gets the nod on top.

His two runs to date have been very strong, including a debut 3rd in the LR Debutant Stakes where he flew through the line.

He was back off a slow tempo that day, and ran the fastest last 400m split of the race by 2.5 lengths through the line.

This was followed by a very encouraging 2nd at Flemington behind Brereton, only just getting edged out for the win.

Resuming here with a prep already under his belt, the race fitness and experience over a number of key rivals will prove telling.

His lone jump out at Flemington leading into this race was a strong win, travelling comfortably up on speed and was hard held through the line.

Back around a bend at Caulfield, barrier three, and the booking of D Oliver are all huge pushes here.

He will go very close.
