Happy Valley Race 8 Tip #4 Kurpany $2.15
Expect there to be some pace in this race, with Flying Genius, Super Power Man and Wild Westing known to dictate from out in front.
Kurpany is my best bet of the day.
He missed the jump last start by 3-4 lengths, but ran home strongly to finish just outside the placings. With a clean getaway, he is clearly the one to beat in this race.
The main dangers are Flying Genius and Saul’s Special, who are proven in this grade and haven’t been far away in their last couple of starts.
Both also have good barriers to work from.
An outsider who could surprise is Super Power Man. He's having his first start on turf, with all his previous runs being on the Sha Tin all weather track.
Jockey Chad Schofield stated that the horse wasn’t going as well as last prep, but perhaps he just needed a few runs. One to watch!

Happy Valley Race 7 Tip #2 Whiskey Neat $4.80
There’s not an abundance of speed in this race, which might benefit those who find a forward position in the run.
I expect Whiskey Neat to find the front easily enough and be the one dictating to his rivals. Athena and Romantic Trove won’t be too far away.
Stock Legend deserves to be a short priced favourite in this race off his last two starts, but he maps awkwardly and I’m happy to be with Whiskey Neat.
He is a very consistent horse who has just found one better in its last three starts. If he gets his own way up front today, he can break through.
Moreira jumps off to ride the favourite, which is the only question mark.
Romantic Trove is improving and is one to watch.
