Canterbury plays host to another cracking Friday night meeting, with 7 races set to be run and won in the twilight hours of Sydney.
We're looking to continue the winning run after going two from two at Wyong yesterday and build a big bank for Saturday.
The track is currently rated a Good 4, with the rail out 3m for the entire circuit.
Canterbury has historically favoured on-pace runners and those horses that can find the rail in the run. There's no reason why that pattern will be any different tonight.
Below are 2 of my 4 best bets of the night. If you're keen to follow me in and back all 4, click here and HOT Bet them now!
This gelding from the Annabel Neasham yard impressed at the trials, before producing a huge run at Gosford last start.
He jumped from a wide barrier on that occasion and was forced to go back in the run, before flashing home in good time. He finished the race running second behind the talented Black Bolt.
That looks a strong form race and I suspect that this guy won't be the only subsequent winner from that race.
He draws perfectly in barrier 3 tonight and maps to sit on-speed, two pairs back. Ideally, he can find the rails but if he doesn't, he'll be in the running line and poised to strike.
He clearly has the best turn of foot in this race, so with even luck in transit he can round this lot up in a few strides and prove far too good!
The $5 quote looks huge overs and I think this galloper is the best bet of the day.
This Bjorn Baker trained mare maps to perfection from barrier 1 tonight and will give a huge sight.
The booking of J-Mac suggests she's flying and if things go to plan, expect her to dispose of her lesser quality rivals.
Her winning record is a little concerning, but she has raced in some quality races and is far better suited at tracks such as Canterbury.
The short Canterbury straight is ideal for this girl. Look for her to go forward and hold the rail from barrier 3 and give them something to catch out in front.
