All ratings for Sandown (Hillside) are for a Good track. The rail is back in the True position, after being out 12m at the last meeting, where runners tended to move off the inside rail, particularly later in the day.   In Sydney, it’s Rosehill, and ratings are for a Soft/Heavy track. There’s plenty of rain predicted for Thursday, and one Bureau is even forecasting "0-to-35mm" on Friday—seriously?! At this stage, minimal rain is expected on race day (Saturday). What a time to be alive! She came here 2nd-up and ran an excellent last 400m (and overall time) to win again. She’s one to watch.   Bet of the Day (Sydney) Rosehill Race 8 No. 1 – Broadsiding Resumes here, and this outstanding colt zoomed home late in his trial. While there will be 100k in attendance and millions watching the AFL Grand Final at the MCG on Saturday, just 30 minutes down the M1, Sandown Racecourse hosts a rare Saturday meeting, and there are plenty of reasons punters should keep an eye on it. This looks like a superb betting card, and it was tough to narrow it down to just two best bets for this Saturday. After bouncing back last Saturday to make it 7 winning weeks out of 8, with ‘Angel Capital’ saluting at $5.50, I’m looking to continue the run again this Saturday. Subscribe here so you never miss a tip!.   Sandown Race 7 #1 Desert Lightning $5.00 A superb run first-up at Moonee Valley over 1200m by the former Kiwi, while carrying 61kg. He finished 3rd behind the winner ‘A Little Deep’, who was beaten in a photo finish last week at Caulfield, and finished alongside the smart ‘Arkansaw Kid’, who went on to win at Flemington in the strong Group 2 Bobbie Lewis. That form looks extremely good for this race and while he is yet to win from 3 second-up runs, he looks a strong chance of breaking through here. He has a superb record on soft ground (which should remain a Soft 5 for Saturday) and has drawn perfectly in barrier 1. He’s capable of securing his first win in Australia and going on to be competitive in better races this spring.   Sandown Race 8 #8 Verdad $3.90 I’m sticking with this handy 4yo son of Justify from the Griffiths & De Kock stable. He got the breaks up on the fence first-up at Moonee Valley, but I still liked the way he finished off and hit the line. He’ll be much better suited stepping up in trip to 1400m here second-up and should be able to get across from the wide barrier to settle up towards the pace. He’s a horse with plenty of quality, as he showed last preparation with a 3rd in the C.S. Hayes, a 5th in the Group 1 Australian Guineas, and a 4th in the Group 2 Alister Clark. He can now go on to better things after this race. Pride Of Jenni is my best bet on the program, having shown tremendous improvement in her recent run. After a strong second-up performance, she’s primed and ready to take control of this race. With that last outing under her belt, she’ll take a power of running down this time. Her ability to keep improving makes her a formidable force, and she’ll be hard to catch once she finds her rhythm.   Mr Brightside deserves plenty of credit as well. He’s nothing short of a star, and his class has been on full display in recent races. Last time out, he produced a fantastic chase, showing his grit and determination as he finished strong. Our Early Market Movers made it three winning weeks in a row last Saturday with three winners at Randwick. We are looking for more of the same this week and early prices have been attacked, with a significant push for runners at both key venues. On Friday night at Moonee Valley punters haven’t missed a potential champion, in an intriguing Feehan Stakes. Whilst at Rosehill a John O’Shea trained colt has been well-backed to win the feature Group 1 Golden Rose.   Early Market Movers is the #1 media tipster over the last 365 days Follow the Early Market Movers here & get Alerts when they drop! .    Moonee Valley Tips   Mr Brightside  Gun Group 1 performer who is treading champion status and looks to continue his winning ways here. He is right on target for a Cox Plate or King Charles and although again forced to run down Pride Of Jenni here, the added fitness should ensure he is right up to the task. Provided he keeps the good mare in his sights, I expect he can run past her again when Craig hits the go button.     Henlein Handy colt with good scope for improvement following a luckless run last start, when he had genuine excuses after being held up here last time out over 1400m. He looks suited by the step up to 1600m now, where his past runs indicate he should relish more ground and the tempo on. With the potential for a very strong speed here, expect he can be the one storming home over the top.    Estriella  Is still in the hunt for an Everest slot and expect the stable have her primed right up to win here and win well! She was a touch disappointing first-up in the Moir however still got home hard on a day when the leader was suited. They again draw wide (gate 10) however with added fitness expect she can sit wide and have the base to be even stronger at the end on this occasion.    Grinzinger Belle  Won well at Flemington last start when led and gave nothing else a chance, where won by 4 lengths! A good on-sped run last time out sets up well for another look at Moonee Valley where she should be suited by her on-speed racing pattern, and from gate 6 can find the lead again. D Lane sticks which is an excellent sign and given a soft lead again expect it will take a good one to run past her.   Rosehill Tips   Alabama State  The breed (Alabama Express) are simply flying! and with limited stock out there are doing an excellent job with a high strike rate. He won first up this preparation at Hawkesbury then bumped into a few smart ones at Rosehill, now third-up he should be approaching peak fitness.  The Crag Williams booking is a massive tick, where the horse hasn’t ever seen a rider of his quality!   Semena Ciaron Maher runner who has been racing against high-quality fields and looks well placed here. She was excellent in the Group 1 Winx Stakes against the topliner, and faces an easier assignment here were drops back to Group 2 level. With good tactical speed, she can position just in behind the leading pair and from there choose to find the better lanes if needed.      Linebacker Gun O’Shea/Charlton colt who was the flashing light run when coming from well back in the Run To The Rose. He looks to have impeccable timing for this race with two solid lead in runs, and could be the good one peaking on the day. His late sectional times here last start over the 1200m were simply outstanding and if he gets the right run and improves again, it should take a huge run to beat him. 1400m suits!   Bonita Queen Loves to lead and dictate and although drawn out a touch in gate 9, she should still have the natural speed to carve across and find the front early. She steps up in grade here to Benchmark 78 level however has been winning well in 72 class, hence can make the leap. I would suggest some of these will not want to take her on early and she may be gifted a lead which is softer than anticipated.
