He was ridden patiently last start over 1200m in a strong race that favoured on-pace runners.

Despite this, he found clean air at the 180m mark and closed strongly, finishing just 0.9L off the winner, Rakkonen, who has since franked the form with a dominant BM64 win by 4.1L.

The step up to 1350m suits perfectly, and with J Parr sticking aboard, this colt has every chance to showcase natural improvement and secure his maiden win.

Race 6 #6 Tempestuous $2.35

Tempestuous delivered an eye-catching debut, running along the rail in inferior ground yet still producing a strong effort.

He has since shown further improvement at his recent trial and benefits from Nash Rawiller remaining in the saddle.

Importantly he beat North England on debut, a subsequent winner who has enhanced the strength of the form.

I expect Nash to position him on-speed from a soft draw and give this colt every opportunity to score.

Tempestuous looks like a strong winning chance here and could be a major player heading toward the Magic Millions.
