Modesty ran near his best last start at Kembla Grange, despite racing against the pattern of the day.

Now returning to his home track, he looks ideally placed.

Remaining at the 2000m distance and being fourth-up, he’ll be at peak fitness, making him a strong contender and hard to beat.

Race 4 #7 Brazil $7.00

Brazil is in career-best form, highlighted by his strong last-start performance where he recorded the second-fastest final 200m of the race.

That form has been franked, with three subsequent runners from the same event producing one winner and one placegetter.

He’s crying out for the step up to 1800m, although he’ll need to overcome a tricky map from a wide draw.
